Stanford Jolley, Jr., known as Stan Jolley died on June
4, 2012 and was an American art director and production designer, originally
employed by Walt Disney Studios before he struck out on his own. He was
nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Art Direction for the 1985
film Witness. Stanwas the son of character actor I. Stanford Jolley, Sr.
[1900-1978], and Emily Mae "Peggy" Jolley. His sister, the late
Sandra Jolley Carson, was the former wife of actor Forrest Tucker and the widow
of Jack Carson. Jolley was Production Designer on the Euro-western “Lawman”
(1971).
